`They Call It Creativity´
We wanted to get to know her a bit better and asked her some tricky questions.
MP. Who are you, what do you do, what turns you on?
Johanna. Hi I’m Johanna. I had an amazing childhood raised by a creative mother and a nature loving father. I am super grateful for my parents who gave me the freedom to express my creativity in every way I wanted and always encouraged me. I am super proud to say that I have grown in to a creative entrepreneur. I have freedom as a designer and creative director to express my creativity and that excites me.
MP. Why do you do what you do?
Johanna. I founded Souru Creative Studio with the goal to nourish brands and to empower them to reach their fullest potential. I have a desire to guide brands to deliver a visual message that truly touches the souls of their customers. I believe that creative thinking allows clarity and better results.
MP. If you knew you were going to die in 2 months, how would you spend your remaining days?
Johanna. I would spend the days with my family and hmmm…. would probably write letters. I think I would love to empower others!
MP. What is the toughest problem you have faced and how did you solve that problem?
Johanna. My biggest problem has been me. I realised, thanks to my kids, that I needed to face my ego and all the expectations I or others had of me before I was able to grow and to live the life of my dreams.
MP. How do you deal with stress?
Johanna. I do feel stress, but nowadays I am aware of it. When stress occurs I try to do my energy things like painting, walking in nature or meditating.
MP. With one sentence, what is creativity?
Johanna. Creativity is a way to do differently. Creativity is a way to think and act without prejudice.
MP. Who has influenced you the most?
Johanna. My kids.
MP. Describe a day from hell.
Johanna. I would be unable to see.
MP. Where do ideas come from?
Johanna. From life and the discussions we have in life.
MP. Tell me a myth about creative people and tell me why it is a myth?
Johanna. They are all bohemians and disorganised divas.
MP. Would you rather:
A) Be in a small cabin with two friends on a remote island listening to the blistering storm and falling trees outside, and not knowing if you were safe there.
B) Be on a huge stage with a group of strangers, in front of thousands of people, covered in glitter, feathers and the biggest wig you can imagine.
C) Alone in an infinitely big forest that has no sound, except the sounds you make.
Johanna. B. Be on a huge stage with a group of strangers, in front of thousands of people, covered in glitter, feathers and the biggest wig you can imagine.
